WHAT IS KFC’S VEGAN OPTION?
It’s a bespoke Quorn™ fillet, coated in our iconic Original Recipe coating, with iceberg lettuce and vegan mayonnaise in a glazed bun.
IS THIS VEGAN BURGER DIFFERENT TO WHAT WAS AVAILABLE LAST YEAR?
Our Vegan Burger is the same award-winning burger as last year, but now in new packaging.
HOW LONG WILL THE ORIGINAL RECIPE VEGAN BURGER BE AVAILABLE?
Our Original Recipe Vegan Burger is back in over 900 restaurants from 4th January 2022. Unfortunately there are some restaurants that won’t be able to sell it due to cooking and preparation methods. Click here to find a restaurant that offers our Vegan Burger on their permanent menu.
HOW DO YOU MINIMISE CROSS-CONTAMINATION RISKS?
Our teams use separate utensils and storage units to make sure vegan ingredients don’t come into contact with meat products. We’ve also trained our teams on how to prepare the Vegan Burger to reduce the risk of cross contamination.
HOW IS THE VEGAN QUORN™ FILLET MADE?
Our Quorn™ fillet is made from Mycoprotein, which is coated in KFC’s 11 Herbs and Spices and fried in vegetable oil before it comes to our restaurants. It’s then finished off in our restaurant ovens. It’s never cooked in the same oil as our chicken.

CAN I CUSTOMISE MY VEGAN BURGER?
You can make changes by adding or removing ingredients, but if extras are added it may mean your burger is no longer vegan. Other ingredients may not be vegan and may have come in to contact with other non-vegan food.
